I always crave fish on Sundays. Not quite sure why.
Today, while browsing through Whole Foods, I had a craving for seared tuna. My folks have this wonderful seared tuna recipe that I decided to give a whirl tonight: Tuna w/ Wasabi Lime Butter Sauce.
Sides? Cannellini Beans with crispy jamon, a pinch of kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, and Brussels sprouts. The sauce makes the meal. Yum.
Recipe for Wasabi Lime Butter Sauce:
3 scallions sliced thinly
1 T fresh cilantro, chopped
1 1/2 T lime juice
3 T soy sauce
1 1/2 T wasabi paste
6 T butter (yes, sounds like a lot, but you don’t need much of this sauce to still enjoy the flavor)
*In a heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients except for butter. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Add butter one tablespoon at a time. Stir constantly, but not vigorously. Once sauce is warm, serve.
