Merry Christmas Eve! The kitchen has been quite a busy place the past few days! Preparing whatever we can for Christmas and Christmas Eve, as well as baking up a few family favorite treats to get us all in the mood. Home is all decorated, fireplace has been burning since I arrived into town last week, gifts are beautifully wrapped and tucked under the tree, and our menu has been carefully outlined.
Here is a family favorite… my grandma Mimi’s Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies. A true family favorite recipe! (And probably the easiest cookie you will every make.)
1 box yellow cake mix
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup peanut butter
*Preheat oven to 350*F. Combine all ingredients. Roll into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Remove from oven. Let cookies rest on cookie sheet for 3 minutes. Push a Hershey kiss is each cookie. Remove from cookie sheet to rack to cool. Enjoy.
Oh yes, and let’s not forget my Sous-Chef for the weekend…
