After a few too many bottles of wine on Friday evening with friends, Saturday evening turned into a casual movie night at home. (oops. 🙂 ) Now, after Italian food/carbs on Friday, I had a craving for some protein. Herb-crusted pork loin, low-fat mushroom risotto, and roasted Brussels sprouts & shallots, seasoned with sea salt, olive oil and red pepper flakes.
I found the recipe on Foodnetwork.com and decided to give it a whirl. My rating? The herb crust was satisfying, but the dijon mustard and lime combination seemed a little too overpowering. Well, regardless of the meal, it let me use my new kitchen tool! A little spreader that I picked up at Crate&Barrel this past weekend. Already have fallen in love with this little guy!
Olivewood Spreader – the olivewood is ideal for not letting anything stick to the spreader, and the price won’t make anyone flinch.
