Homemade pizza… Yum. Any sort of seasoning and type of meat/sausage/veggie/herb/etc. goes.
Roll out your dough. Heat your oven to 500*F and toss your toppings on.
Today’s ‘za was as follows: whole wheat dough, tons of dried herbs, brushed with kosher salt, fresh garlic, extra virgin olive oil, topped with small scoops of fresh ricotta, shredded mozz, sautéed mushrooms (briefly sauté mushrooms separately on the stove prior to making the pizza… Made sure you strain all liquids from the mushrooms once cooked al dente.)
Place pizza on lightly pre-floured parchment paper to prevent sticking. Bake for 15 minutes on center rack. We added uncooked spinach and continued to cook til crust was crispy and brown, cooked entirely thru. Spinach wilted a bit before we removed it from the oven. Delicious!
