Thanksgiving… What a perfect day to over-indulge, cocktail, and spend time with your family and friends. A couple weekends ago, I hosted our Annual Girlfriends’ Thanksgiving. We had all sorts of amazing fixings, paired with wine and bloody marys.
Stuffed Mushrooms, Puff Pastry Brie with Figs, Popovers, Homemade Mac and Cheese, Squash Casserole, Salad, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Pancetta/Mushroom Stuffing, Gravy and Turkey. For dessert: Chocolate Pie with a Nilla Wafers Crust, and Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.

*For the turkey, gravy and stuffing… we ended up trying out Bon Appetit’s Pancetta Sage Turkey & Pancetta Sage Gravy, and then doctoring up their Simple Stuffing recipe with pancetta and mushrooms. Delicious. Certainly recommend!! My only complication was getting the pancetta sage butter in between the turkey skin and meat.
