This is a family favorite… one that came from my grandmother. Maybe it’s the dill. Maybe it’s the parmesan. Or maybe even the combo of the nuts and pretzels. Not quite sure, but it has a tendency to be the type of snack you can’t stop eating.
Melt butter in a throw away pan in the oven. About 275*F. Add your box of Crispix. Toast for 30 minutes, occasionally tossing. Season with table salt (not kosher), grated Parmesan and dried dill (I combine these three ingredients in a glass bowl and mix well before I sprinkle the toasted Crispix with them… feel free to go heavy on the parmesan and dill. 😉 ). Add a few dashes of garlic salt and Worcester sauce. Toss. Add some more. Toss. Toast for another 10-15 minutes. Add mixed nuts, pretzels and any other trail mix item you’d like (goldfish, sesame sticks, etc). Toss & serve.
