I can’t believe it is almost February. 2016 snuck up quickly on me, and has been sprinting by. I have taken a little hiatus from A Toast to the Good Life. I promise there’s a good reason why! Just keep reading…
Life has been rather busy for CBH and myself these past few months. After we returned from our family’s ranch in September, we buried ourselves in the hunt for a new home. We found one we loved and have been busy packing and planning: we are moving into a new condo in the next couple weeks.
Most importantly, our little family of two is turning into a family of three! We are beyond excited to be expecting a baby, and needless to say, the past few months have been a whirlwind of bliss. (It is also the main reason why I went MIA for roughly 8 weeks. I was so sick at the beginning, even the idea of getting into my kitchen to cook a meal put me into such a spin. I think I lived off of scrambled eggs and whole wheat english muffins with peanut butter for a solid 8 weeks…)
Luckily, my appetite is back to normal (possibly, even more aggressive than it was pre-pregnancy), and so is my drive to prep and plan for this new arrival! Over the next few months (we are due in May), A Toast to the Good Life may take a little detour from solely recipes. Little bits and pieces of our condo decorating, as well as nursery planning and prep may sneak it’s way into a few posts. 🙂
I hope 2016 has been off to a great start for you all!
